For Singapore · Roasted in Kuala Lumpur
Most coffee is grown with synthetic pesticides and herbicides, and none of it appears on the label. Three of our eight are certified organic, audited every year by an accredited body. Two more are grown without synthetics on farms too small to fund the audit. We tell you which is which. Shipped fresh from Kuala Lumpur to your door.
Certified organic lots·Screened before roasting·Roasted to order

Coffee is grown on a schedule of sprays, in some of the wettest country on earth.
Herbicides and fungicides are applied seasons before the roast.
By the time the bag reaches the shelf, none of it is on the label.
Three of our eight carry the certificate that proves none of it was used. We name the other five plainly.
Two bags can look identical on the shelf. What separates them happened years earlier, on the farm.
The person most exposed to a pesticide is never the one drinking the coffee. It is the one who grew it.Why we buy certified organic
A claim on the front of a bag costs nothing. These are the ones we can show you the paper for.
| Certified organic | Three of our eight: both Ethiopian lots and the Peruvian. Three years without synthetics before the word may be used at all, audited yearly by an accredited body. |
|---|---|
| Organic by practice | Two Malaysian Liberica lots, grown without synthetic inputs on estates too small to fund the annual audit. Grown that way, not certified that way, and we will not print the word as though it were. |
| Mycotoxin screen | Green beans screened for ochratoxin A and aflatoxins at laboratories accredited to ISO/IEC 17025, before roasting. Three reports are published in full today. The rest follow as each batch clears. |
| On your tin | Roast date and batch code, 0526‑ESK, printed where you can find them. |
Certificates and published lab results sit on each coffee’s own page. Ask for anything we have not put up yet.

Certified organic means the coffee is grown without synthetic pesticides or herbicides, and an accredited auditor verifies it every year. Three of our eight carry that certificate: both Ethiopian lots and the Peruvian. Two Malaysian Liberica lots are grown without synthetic inputs but are not certified, because the estates are too small to fund the audit. The remaining three carry no organic claim, and we do not make one for them.
