Panama Janson Gesha
RM120
/100g
·whole bean
Janson family farm, Boquete. Green Tip Gesha. Anaerobic natural process. 1,300–1,800 metres.
The cup
Mandarin orange, unmistakable. Then lemongrass. Clean, herbal. Almost a breath rather than a taste. Lavender sitting just behind it, the floral note that makes Gesha, Gesha.
This is the cultivar that changed specialty coffee, grown by a family who are perhaps better known for it than anyone else alive. Brew slowly. Taste it cold as well as hot. It changes.
